Little Golden Book Christmas Junk Journal
Little Golden Book Christmas Junk Journal

Just in time for Christmas! Perfect as a gift or to keep for yourself! These Little Golden Book Christmas Junk Journals will hold your cherished memories, cards, and holiday stories for years to come. Each book has three signatures of 40 pages each, held together with waxed linen thread, tied in the center with 2 hanging dangles. The first and third signature feature the actual Little Golden Book pages (full-size) in order, while the second signature boasts pages from other children’s Christmas books, including A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty, the Snowman, surrounded with tea-dyed music paper, various doilies, maps noting the North Pole, tracing paper, tea-stained onion skin paper, wrapping paper pages and Edith Holden December pages.

Beautiful Graphic 45 Christmas collections, including Joy to the World and Christmas Past set the theme for these journals, but the real treasures that set them apart are the vintage Christmas cards turned into pockets, tags, flips, tuck spots, and fussy cut embellishments. Vintage laces and trims create a sense of charm, along with Christmas themed vintage dictionary entries, sight word flash cards and math flash cards (25), Bingo cards, Monopoly Community Chest cards: Xmas Fund Matures, and paper Christmas coasters from the 1950’s. Vintage buttons, mother of pearl embellishments, and embellished paper clips add to the nostalgia.

Other features include gorgeous black and white illustrations from An Old-Fashioned Christmas (Hornung, 1975), which feature drawings originally published in sources such as Harper’s Weekly in 1875 and Illustrated London News of 1860. The surprises continue with Mary Engelbreit journal cards, machine and hand stitching throughout, vintage postage stamps and Boys Town of Nebraska Christmas stamps, cupcake paper tucks, glassine bags, and vintage post cards with postmark dates going as far back as 1910.
