This is an amazing antique French late 1890s Holy water font, silvered nickel on deep red velvet. The center medallion is likely to be from Limoges, the porcelain is slightly domed, it features a very realistic portrait of Jesus and his crown of thorns with amazing detailing to the face, even the small blood drops on the forehead and neck of the Christ during His Passion have been represented. A gorgeous miniature...
