This listing is for a handmade coin zipper charm made with a vintage 1966 Australian 5 cent coin.

A lovely vintage Australian coin with a natural silver grey finish! Depicted is a short-beaked echidna.

The echidna is native to Australia and parts of New Zealand. It is one of the four living species of echidna and the only member of the genus Tachyglossus, it is covered in fur and spines and has a distinctive snout and a specialized tongue which it uses to catch its prey. The echidna belongs to a group of mammals called monotremes, they are the only group of mammals to lay eggs.

A great gift for all ages!
